Who Business Profiles Are For
Business and organizer profiles are for venues, shops, activity providers, event hosts, markets, wellness studios, community organizations, and other local operators who want to share official events, tours, classes, clinics, retreats, or experiences.
Verification
Business and organizer accounts may be reviewed manually before they receive Verified Local Organizer status. Summit Scene may reject, pause, or remove business access if a profile appears misleading, unauthorized, unsafe, or incomplete.
- Organizer profiles should provide business name, contact email, Instagram/Facebook/website, town, category, and a short description.
- Profiles should provide at least one proof link: website, Instagram page, Facebook page, or Google Business listing.
- New organizer accounts may be labelled New Organizer until reviewed.
- Verified profiles may receive a Verified Local Organizer label after manual review.
Tours and External Booking
Tour companies and guides can create organizer accounts, post tours or events, and link to their own booking website, Instagram, FareHarbor, Viator, or another external booking page. Users book externally with the organizer or third-party provider.
Local Compliance
Businesses and organizers are responsible for confirming and following all permits, licences, insurance, park rules, municipal bylaws, venue rules, alcohol rules, food rules, road use rules, and safety requirements that apply to their event or activity.
Posting or approving an event in Summit Scene does not mean the event is licensed, permitted, insured, or approved by Parks Canada, the Town of Banff, the Town of Canmore, Alberta Health Services, AGLC, or any venue.
