Keep It Local, Useful, and Respectful
Summit Scene is for local events, tours, plans, introductions, groups, town notices, and community discovery around Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, and nearby areas.
LGBTQ+ people, newcomers, locals, visitors, and allies should be able to use Summit Scene without harassment, outing, slurs, or identity-based targeting.
Not Allowed
- Harassment, hate, threats, bullying, or unwanted sexual content.
- Scams, spam, misleading event or tour details, fake business listings, fake organizer accounts, or impersonation.
- Illegal activity, unsafe instructions, or content encouraging harm.
- Private personal information posted without permission.
- Repeated off-topic posts or behavior that makes the app harder to use.
Events and Business Posts
- Only post official business or organizer content if you are authorized.
- Use clear event details, dates, locations, and expectations.
- Do not imply permits, venue approval, or official approval unless you have it.
- Tour operators and guides should provide accurate duration, meeting location, price range, booking links, and safety expectations.
Reporting and Blocking
Use report or block tools when something feels unsafe, misleading, abusive, fake, scammy, or inappropriate. Summit Scene may review reports, remove replies or listings, restrict accounts, or take other action where needed.
